Which model to choose?
FS301: the reference
The machine I recommend by default. Compact, 2.5 L, and above all the only one with the Frappé program for iced coffee drinks. Ideal for a household, a couple or a kitchen where space matters. Its cooling takes 30 minutes, versus 15 on the larger models, but that makes no difference when you prepare ahead.

FS601 XL: the right party volume
3.7 L and 10 servings: the format for entertaining. It adds Frozen Cocktail Max (stronger cocktails) and SlushAssist, which sets the texture automatically without watching. No Frappé program, but the Milkshake makes up for it.

The largest tank, 4.4 L and 12 servings, same programs as the XL. The choice if you often host a crowd or run one batch after another. Bulky: reserved for those with the counter space and the use to match.

What does not change from one model to another
Before comparing the spec sheets, know that all three machines work the same way and share the same constraint. It is worth understanding once and for all:
- No ice. A compressor cools the liquid just below 0 °C; there are no ice cubes and no blending.
- The sugar rule. It is the sugar (or a substitute like allulose, or the alcohol) that prevents a block of ice. Count on at least ~4 to 5% sugar: sodas, juices and syrups work on their own, pure “zero” drinks do not. Without enough sugar, the machine beeps and nothing freezes.
- Cold hold 12 h. WhisperChill technology keeps the drink frozen all evening without diluting it (recipes without dairy milk).
- Four shared programs: Slush, Frozen Cocktail, Milkshake, Frozen Juice. The rest depends on the model.

In short: the FS301 trades volume and auto mode for the exclusivity of the Frappé; the XL and the Max are the models for entertaining, with the Max adding mainly tank capacity and a beefier motor.
What about the other versions?
You may come across other references when searching online. To be clear:
- FS299 and FS300: US-market versions (Walmart exclusives), with a different capacity and presentation. They are not sold in Europe: here, the reference remains the FS301.
- Ninja Slushi Twist: a dual-tank version exists in some markets. Its availability in Europe should be checked case by case.
- Ninja Creami: often confused, it is a different appliance. The Creami makes creamy ice cream, sorbets and frozen bowls; the Slushi makes frozen drinks (granitas, cocktails, frappés). These are not the same uses.

- Why does my machine beep and nothing freezes?
- Almost always a lack of sugar: the mix is not sweet enough or it is a light drink. Add one or two spoons of syrup or sugar per serving, or a little allulose, then restart.
