Program used: Frozen Cocktail (frozen cocktail)
This great bar classic, known for its potency, turns into a formidable frozen cocktail where the cola perfectly balances the five spirits. During my first attempt, the mixture foamed quite a bit: I recommend letting the cola go flat for a little while beforehand. The result is incredibly fresh and the texture remains easy to sip through a straw. Get ready to rediscover this legend in a completely frozen form for your next parties!

Ingredients
35 ml vodka
35 ml blanco tequila
35 ml white rum
35 ml gin
35 ml triple sec (like Cointreau)
100 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
100 ml cane sugar syrup
650 ml cola (ideally slightly flat)
Instructions
- In a container, gently stir the spirits, lemon juice, syrup, and cola to prevent too much foam. The total of the 5 spirits adds up to exactly 175 ml per liter: this is the maximum limit for it to freeze.
- Pour the mixture into the Ninja Slushi tank, ensuring that the level sits well between the min and max marks.
- Select the Frozen Cocktail program and let the machine work for about an hour until you reach the ideal texture.
Frozen Virgin Long Island
Frozen Virgin Long Island: Replace the spirits with 175 ml of cold, strong black tea infusion, keep the rest of the ingredients, and use the Slush program.

View recipeThe precise balance of a powerful cocktail
For this cocktail to set in the Ninja Slushi, the secret lies in the precise dosage of spirits. Alcohol is a natural antifreeze: if you exceed 175 ml of 40% ABV alcohol per liter, your mixture will remain hopelessly liquid. This is why I voluntarily limit each spirit to 35 ml here. The cane sugar syrup and the cola provide the sugar essential for the right texture. By the way, if you are looking for a wiser alternative, my Frozen Virgin Mary for Ninja Slushi is an excellent savory mocktail option.
The foam trap of cola
The classic mistake with sodas in the machine is excess gas. If you pour your cola directly upon opening, the preparation may overflow once the stirring starts. I advise you to let it go flat for a few minutes in a pitcher before incorporating it with the other ingredients. Don’t forget to monitor the tank gauge: the liquid must always be between the MIN and MAX marks to prevent the machine from entering safety mode.

Frequently asked questions
Why isn’t my Long Island freezing completely?
This is usually due to too much alcohol. The 5 spirits combined must not exceed 175 ml for this volume, otherwise, the alcohol prevents freezing.
Can I use zero-sugar cola?
I strongly advise against it. Real sugar from classic cola is necessary to prevent the drink from turning into a solid block. Without this sugar, the texture will not be right.
Can it be done on the FS301 model?
Absolutely. The proportions provided adapt very well to the compact FS301 model, as long as the total does not exceed the MAX gauge. Use the same Frozen Cocktail program.
