Ninja Slushi compatibility
Program used: Frozen Cocktail (frozen cocktail)
Forget about freezing wine in ice cube trays for 12 hours: with the Slushi, this summer cocktail is ready in just one cycle. In a blender, my frosé would melt too quickly. Here, the texture remains perfect throughout your entire drink. You will love this fruity mix of strawberries and rosé, resulting in a thick, velvety drink that is ideal for hot days.

Ingredients
750 ml fruity rosé wine (a standard bottle)
200 g fresh or thawed strawberries
50 ml strawberry syrup or cane syrup
30 ml lemon juice
50 ml water
Instructions
- Blend the strawberries, lemon juice, syrup, and water until you have a smooth coulis. The syrup provides the necessary sugar (minimum 5g/100ml) to prevent the mixture from freezing into a solid block.
- In a pitcher, mix the strawberry coulis and the bottle of rosé wine.
- Pour into the Ninja Slushi container (the level will be about 1100 ml, perfect between the min and max marks) and start the Frozen Cocktail program.
- Serve as soon as the machine indicates that the thick and creamy, spoonable texture is ready, garnishing with fresh strawberries or mint if desired.
Peach Version (Peach Frosé)
Peach Version (Peach Frosé): Replace the strawberries with peach purée and the strawberry syrup with peach syrup for an equally summery variation.

View recipeThe machine’s advantage over traditional methods
If you have ever tried making frosé by following classic recipes, you know the struggle: you have to pour wine into ice cube trays, wait 12 hours for it to set, and then blend it all. The problem is that alcohol prevents complete freezing, and the blender melts everything in five minutes. With the Ninja Slushi, the game changes completely. You pour everything in liquid state, and the Frozen Cocktail program manages the cold continuously. The texture remains impeccable, without isolated ice chunks, from the beginning to the end of your party. No need to prepare the day before, it is a real convenience for an impromptu evening.
The crucial role of syrup in this cocktail
I am often asked if you can skip the syrup for a lower-calorie result. The answer is no: the secret to a well-textured drink in this machine is the sugar ratio. The alcohol in the wine already lowers the freezing point, but it is the sugar from the strawberries and syrup that will bind everything together and create that consistent effect instead of a cold soup or a blocked paddle. I use strawberry syrup to boost the flavor, but classic cane syrup works perfectly well. Just make sure the chosen rosé is not already sweet; a classic dry rosé (around 12% alcohol) is ideal for balancing the whole.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take for the frosé to be ready?
Expect about 45 minutes depending on the initial temperature of your ingredients. If your wine and coulis come straight from the fridge, it will be even faster!
Can I use red or white wine?
Absolutely. A dry white wine with peaches makes for an excellent ‘Fro-Blanc’, while a fruity red wine will lean towards a frozen sangria. The principle and the program remain the same.
What should I do if the machine flashes when starting?
Check your liquid level. With the whole bottle and the coulis, you should be around 1100 ml, which is perfect. Make sure you are well above the Min mark and below the Max mark.
