Ninja Slushi compatibility
Program used: Frozen Juice (frozen juice)
A highly fruity drink where the machine transforms the mixture into a ready-to-drink frozen smoothie, which is much more practical than using a standard blender. No more hassle of adjusting crushed ice to avoid watering down the fruit! With this combination of mango, strawberries, and peaches, you get a result that is both sweet and refreshing, with a true velvety texture that is easy to sip through a straw.

minutesA very fruity blend transformed by the Ninja Slushi into a frozen drink ready to be sipped through a straw.
Ingredients
350 ml oat milk (or other plant-based milk)
200 g mango flesh (fresh or thawed)
200 g strawberries
150 g peach (or nectarine)
100 ml cane sugar syrup (essential for the mixture to freeze properly)
100 ml water
Instructions
- Blend the mango, strawberries, peach, oat milk, syrup, and water in a blender until smooth. The syrup provides the necessary sugar so the smoothie does not freeze into a solid block.
- Strain if necessary to remove the small strawberry seeds, then pour the mixture into the Ninja Slushi bowl (about 1.1 L, between the min and max marks). Blending and straining prevents the machine’s auger from getting stuck.
- Select the Frozen Juice program (or Milkshake) and let it run until you reach the desired consistency.
- Serve directly in tall glasses with a wide straw.
Coconut milk version
Coconut milk version: Replace the oat milk with coconut milk for a more tropical profile, while keeping the same amount of syrup.

View recipeSugar and fruit balance for a perfect texture
I am often asked if it is possible to make a frozen smoothie using only fruits and plant-based milk. The answer is yes, but the texture will be different. With the Slushi, the secret to a consistency that is sip-able through a straw relies on the sugar content of the preparation. Even if mango and peach are naturally sweet, adding cane sugar syrup acts as an anti-freeze. Without it, your device risks creating a hard block or triggering its safety lights. Why I always blend and strain before filling the bowl
Unlike a traditional blender that pulverizes food with sharp blades, the Ninja Slushi uses a simple auger to stir a liquid while it freezes. This is why it is imperative to have a base that is perfectly liquid and free of chunks. If you leave large pieces of peach or if strawberry seeds clump together, you risk jamming the mechanism. I always pass my mixture through a blender and then through a small fine-mesh sieve: this is the guarantee of a smooth result in the mouth and a machine that runs without straining.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use frozen fruit?
Yes, but you must let them thaw completely before blending them with the milk. The machine can only process liquid at room temperature or chilled, never blocks of ice.
The machine indicates a problem during the cycle, what should I do?
If the lights are blinking, it is usually because the mixture is too low in sugar and is starting to freeze too hard. Stop the machine, add a little sugar syrup, wait a few minutes, and restart.
Do I absolutely have to use the Frozen Juice program?
It is the one I recommend for recipes containing juice and milk. However, if you prefer a texture that is a bit creamier and thicker, the Milkshake program also gives excellent results with this same preparation.
